#51 Lines (Theme #172)

I looked up today and saw that several planes had been playing "etch a sketch" in the sky.

#50 Look Alikes (Theme #176)

I got to the traffic light as school was getting out and caught this line of look alikes.

#49 Logs (Theme #175)

Otherwise known as what is left from post #44. My husband cut up the half a tree that fell in the last storm into logs (firewood).

#48 Food Glorious Food! (Theme #106)

This is what we had for lunch today (and what my husband will have for lunch when he goes in to the office for work tomorrow--usually, he is able to work at home three or so days a week).
In case anyone is interested, lunch consisted of spaghetti with a sauce made from leftover chili and a can of spaghetti sauce; steamed asparagus; spinach with mushrooms and onions sauteed in garlic butter; and hoecakes made from self-rising cornbread mix and buttermilk.

#47 Architectural Details (Theme #13)

The design of this house has fascinated me since I first saw it about 10 years ago.

#46 Candy (Theme #40)

Valentine candy that my husband gave me yesterday. I've finished eating the top row and am currently working across the middle row.

#45 Breakfast (Theme #34)

This is our usual Saturday morning breakfast--breakfast burritos. They consist of shredded hashbrowns with onions and peppers with vegeburger mixed in; scrambled eggs; shredded cheese; diced avocado; and homemade salsa (if desired)--all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Also, fruit or fruit juice.

#44 Broken (Theme #36)

The same windstorm that caused the power outage (resulting in the candles for post #43), also caused this Bradford Pear tree in our front yard to break. Fortunately, it fell away from the house.

#43 Candlelight (Theme #39)

I was visiting a friend last night when her power went out. She gathered some small candles and set them in an aluminum pie tin and lit them. I liked this shot the best of the dozen or so that I took.

#42 Larger than Life (Theme #166)

One of our Pathfinders is quite tall--though not as tall as this photo would make one think. He is just over 6'.

In this zoomed out version, you can see that the basketball goal is adjustable--set low for the smaller children to play.

#41 Outdoor Seating (Theme #221)

Saturday afternoon, we took our Pathfinders for a hike in the woods. This huge tree had fallen across the trail--it made nice outdoor seating.

#40 Smoke (Theme #289)

Sunday morning, we took the Pathfinders' model rockets outside and fired them off--creating puffs of smoke. Eight rockets were recovered, four went into the distance and were never seen again.

#39 One Dozen (Theme #210)

Saturday night, the Pathfinders worked on the Model Rocketry Honor. One dozen rockets were built (the one missing in the picture may be outside being painted).

#38 It's Saturday Morning (Theme #161)

It's Saturday morning and our Pathfinder club is conducting the church service.

#37 Closed (Theme #54)

This campground near Barren River Lake in Kentucky is closed.

#36 Tower (Theme #333)

This is a tower from a nuclear power plant a couple counties over from us. As far as I know, the plant was never operational.

#35 Water's Edge (Theme #354)

Sunday was a beautiful day with a high near 60 degrees (let's not discuss the 12 degrees we had this morning). My daughter and I, along with our dogs went for a walk to check out our ponds (to see if they were still frozen--the one in the woods was, the other wasn't). This is a picture of my son's dog, Snoopy, at the water's edge. (He gets a new sweater every winter because the cold bothers him--he wears it all winter then we throw it away!)(To see all three dogs and our ponds check out my The Nature of Things blog--A walk in the Yard ).

#34 Silly (Theme #284)

My daughter was home for a couple days. Acting silly, she found and wore a funny red hat with a blue scarf.

#33 Silhouette (Theme #283)

Ever since I was a little girl, I have liked the look of a tree silhouetted against a sunset sky.

#32 Colored Glass (Theme #59)

This is the stained glass window at the front of our church. The sanctuary lights were out (I have no idea how/where to turn them on) and only the lights behind the window were on.
