#29 Seeds (Theme #273)

These Sweet Gum Balls hold the seeds of the Sweet Gum tree. Goldfinches like to pull the seeds out of the holes between the spikes on the balls. This week's ice storm decorated our gum balls.

That is a beautiful picture, I would love to see it with the goldfinches too! Doubtful they are out in the cold! Cool image!

Cool pic...love the ice around them...balls remind me of the lychee fruit I shot the other day!

You must have used a fast shutter speed to freeze the water dripping of those things, to create this beautiful shot.

Chesney, the goldfinches are out in great numbers--they like the feeders--unfortunately, they tend to fly away when I go outside. I can watch them on the gum balls through the window.

Danudin, I'd love to take credit for skillful photography, but I just have a point and shoot camera. Nature caused the drips of ice hanging off the gum balls.
