#106 Dirt (Theme #76)

My dad's garden is only growing dirt right now--except for a small row of garlic on the far left.

Soon it will be flourishing though! Great take on the theme!

Oh, but doesn't that dirt look nice--all ready for planting. And NO SNOW on top of it!

I've participated in grassland breeding bird survey the past several years and I joke with the coordinator that I do a 'dirtland' bird survey. Last year seven of my nine survey points looked like this. Sigh.

I've got my fingers crossed for this year though!

I can't wait for gardening season to begin. I don't know how to leave you a private message, Nan, but it looks like you have been to St. Marks also. It is a fun area to visit.

Lots of dirt with a little bit of natural fertilizer and enough water can grow anything. First think you know, you'll be eating tomatoes from his garden. Oh, just the thought of a fresh tomato makes my mouth water! This is a wonderful scene.
