Unfortunately, due to time constraints, this was as close to the lake as we were able to get. The access road to to the building in the distance was closed and we didn't have time to hike down to the lake.

that is disappointing, but wow, what gorgeous pictures you managed to get!
I love that first shot with the broad expanse of sand then the seemingly endless water beyond. The people look so dwarfed by it all. Very cool!
I'm sorry you couldn't go all the way down, but the view is gorgeous where you stopped.
Too bad you didn't get to go closer, but you captured these wonderful photos from afar. Just think, if you'd made it up to the edge, you might not have snapped these images!
I do like the scale of the people contrasted with the vast dunes. Hope you didn't get sand anywhere inconvenient.
