#131 Recycled (Theme #254)

re·cy·cle
To recondition and adapt to a new use or function

My son recycled some aging/slightly stale (leftover from Mother's Day) hot dog buns for lunch today. He made them into cheesy garlic bread. Very tasty!

Waste not, want not, great motto in these recessionary times. Great colour on the shot looks yummy.

Ah...great use of the theme. I make this too, but not cheesy. The hot dog buns actually get a really great crust on them! :-) Very innovate idea of your son.

At first glance I thought they were potato skins...another great recycled dish. Yummy!

Ron, I'll use his motto. That was my Mother's motto too. We used everything on the pig except for the squeal! lol

You son may have an adventure as a chef! Looks really good. I love garlic bread - heavy on the garlic, please. And if it has cheese, all the better. :D

What a great idea - never thought to try that but now I know what to do with those extra buns! Nice capture for this theme.

Because the buns are never packaged in the same numbers as the hot dogs! That's why we end up with leftovers.

Great shot - it looks all toasty and yummy.
