#132 Spelling Errors (Theme #297)

The title of this freecycle ad caught my attention first, then when I went to the ad itself, I found it peppered with additional misspellings.

This ad reminds me of a sign I saw yesterday in the bathroom at a Dollar Store :
"To flush tolite pull handel up and hold"

That is so sad, hope Mom has a bit more education...

And yet! Totally Legible! Who knows maybe Chester was a draw maker that we haven't heard (or is that Herd or Hurd) of. Great sensitivity in deleting the name.

Great eye!! I am awful at finding spelling errors (probably because I am the one making the errors) :)

At least it didn't say Chester's drawers. That could create some confusion. Great catch!

I may never look at bedroom furniture again without thinking of Chester Drawers!!

I hope she gets some response - sounds like a family that could really use some help.

This rang a bell with me so I googled it. Apparently "chester drawers" is a mispronunciation of "chest of drawers" which is commonly heard in the southern US. I even saw some businesses listing them for sale using that spelling and a scholarly article about the mis-use.

I won't speak to the other spelling errors in your photo example though! ;-)
